Estimates use unrounded numbers. Displayed amounts round to cents.

What this means

Worker-hours add the labor of all crew members. Crew-hours describe elapsed productive time for the whole crew.

Worked example

100 units at 10 units/worker-hour with two workers require 10 worker-hours, five crew-hours and one five-hour productive day. If 10 means units/crew-hour instead, the same work requires ten crew-hours and twenty worker-hours.

How the math works

For rate r per worker-hour, crew hours H = quantity/(r×crew size). For rate per crew-hour, H = quantity/r. Worker-hours = H×crew size. Productive days = H/hours per day. Labor cost = worker-hours×loaded rate.

About this estimate

Crew size is a positive integer. Rate and productive hours are positive, constant user assumptions. The per-worker model assumes linear scaling; interference, setup, learning, overtime and calendar constraints are not inferred.
